(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm not new to owning layer chickens, I've had them for over 5 or 6 years now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Four lovely ladies! All Americauna.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Currently, all Americauna- I love their personality. I've had Orpington's, and RI Reds. And one rooster.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
A long time ago, just never became a member.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love relaxing outside, watching the birds- of all kinds. I love walking my old golden retriever, and playing sports, of all kinds.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My human family all live in central FL, while I've made the Seattle-area home! I have a dog, Hank- an old Golden Retriever- and 4 laying Americaunas. I wish I could own all the animals. ;)

Greetings and welcome to BYC! So glad you joined us. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Old folks like me :old will never remember from this thread. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
