Hi, I’m Heather — lifelong animal lover, third-grade teacher, garden enthusiast, and proud chicken mama based in sunny Redlands, California. I’m also the heart behind Zeina’s Bakery, a home-based cottage bakery where love (and eggs!) go into every bite.

My chicken journey began with a surprise: I ordered 10 Easter Eggers from Tractor Supply… and received 10 Welsummer Olive Eggers instead. A delayed delivery meant only one fluffy chick survived — my sweet Frou Frou. But that little fighter quickly became my feathered soulmate. She’s curious, cuddly, smart enough to learn cues, and lays the prettiest eggs in the flock. She's also the ultimate garden sidekick, nap buddy, and kid-approved cuddlebug.

Outside the coop, I’m a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in Education and currently finishing my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at WGU. I’ve spent years teaching, mentoring, and creating fun, engaging learning environments for kids. I also love camping, woodworking, growing things in the dirt, and spending time with my husband Alain, our niece and nephew, and our seven amazing hens.
