Hi, I'm Mark. My wife Kim and I recently started raising and breeding Sebastapol geese.

We let the goose hatch the first bunch, then switched to Incubators. We have our 2nd Incubator batch in now. Should hatch in about 3 weeks.

May add some chickens later.

We live in Magnolia, TX. We just have 3 acres and a handful of different animals. Not a full blown farm. Mostly just pets. The only thing we breed and sell at the moment are the goslings.

I built our goose shelter from scratch. 8x8x8 with a 20x10 foot run on the front. I used a layer of what we call goat fencing on the sides up to about 8 feet high with 4 inches buried in the ground. Put a layer of chicken fence over the lower 4 feet of it. The top is just a large party tent until we can afford some military-style netting for it. It works pretty good for now.

Here's a picture of it. The deer seem to like it!

Once the goslings are able to be outside, we put them in this Shelter, which I converted from an old giant turtle shelter.

I guess that's about for now. Look forward to making friends and meeting new people.

Hi, I'm Dan and my wife is also Kim. We live in Wisconsin. Over the years I have raised many birds; anywhere from the tiniest waxbill finches, to peafowl. Right now we have zebra finches, chickens, cockatiels, conures, diamond doves, bourkes parakeet, a red squirrel, dogs, and tropical fish. Our newest project are serama bantams. Good luck with the geese eggs and welcome to BYC.
