You got it! I was an old RedLeg way back when .. I was assigned to the 10th DIVARTY HQ while stationed at Ft. Drum, NY from 87-90. I can't hear a dang thing anymore .. good times.

Welcome! All I am going to say is I am a tiny bit jealous of your black star! Such sweet birds. I had one, but she was eaten by an opposum last year, and the opportunity to get a few more has not come up yet for me (yes I liked her so much that my plan is to replace her with 5 of them when we get rid of my older hens). In the meantime I have my other girls though.

Congrats on the retirement! I spent 8 years US Army and 13 years in law enforcement in Knoxville TN. Most of my family has served in one branch or another as well.

I have to say raising chickens had been a true joy!
