Hello
I got into chickens about three months ago, I have three Golden comets to start with and looking for a few more. I build a run for the girls because I do have a lab/Great Dane mix and the last owner of this house lost her flock to predators.
I got the chickens for myself and my three kids, they have really taken a interest in them.
I work in construction as a safety manager and currently finishing my degree in occupational safety and health. So the girls have been a good distraction for me. I have found that I become sort of addicted to chickens and reading about them and I can accroas this site and figured I would sign up

Are you getting new chicks or started pullets? Hatchery or feed store chicks have the lowest risk of accidentally bringing in an unseen illness. If adding new birds, quarantine out of sight for a few weeks before starting the integration process.
