My name is Alison and I just started catering to my chickens just about 2 years ago. I started with 6 hens and a rooster. Last fall I got 11 more 5 month old pullets. I lost a few over the winter due to old age. I decided to try raising chicks this spring. I think I may have an addiction though. I have 54 chicks ranging from 4 weeks to 1 week old. I have a wide variety of chicks. Going to be a colorful couple of coops for sure. We will have 3 coops. I also raise a few pigs every year and the kids have Misty a mini donkey who resides with Billy and Jolly whom are goats. In my spare time I crochet, knit, and paint. The best part of chicken farming is watching the chicks grow and develop into adults.
