New member needing advice in Connecticut!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

I had egg eaters in my flock as well. Excellent advice given above. Things to do....Curtains, fake eggs in the boxes, collect eggs often, a good balanced diet, oyster shell on the side. Make sure they are putting on a hard shell, this is how it starts, somebody lays a thin shelled egg, it gets cracked open and a delicious treat pours out if it. If any of them continue to have trouble, use liquid Caltrate, orally, once a day for 1 week. It took my flock a couple few weeks, but eventually the egg eating stopped permanently. Good luck!

Its in the feed that we buy.
Calcium is in all the feed, but not enough and not the oyster shell. The amount in the feed is minimum standards and some chickens are fine on that, but will do way better if you supplement it separately.
