My buff mutt still had the eye smudges. That's how I could tell the mom was a buff and not the runner.

GMD is gorgeous! what a pretty duck! and her baby....oh my gosh! so cute!! even though it doesn't happen much, i think mommy pekins with their babies are the cutest things ever!! CONGRATS!!

My male is from a hatchery and is pretty poor quality (he looks like a female his colors are so light). I don't remember him have eye smudges but that was a while ago.
