from Virginia! I love your tractor!

Thanks all! Wow that was fast. I like this forum already.

I don't lock my birds away, so far they have been safe and sound, even with the bottomless design. I have always had racoons problems in the past, in PA and in CA. But so far here in GA, I have had no predator attempts.

I'm looking to build a PVC-based chicken tractor next.

Does anyone use nipple-type drip waterers? Kind of like the commercial ones? I've read good and bad reviews, but I'm considering trying them for my next design, seems like a very sanitary system.

Thanks again!

Welcome! Nice looking chickens.
Love you tractor design neighbor (I'm in Aiken).

Where did you get that red watering thing?
I need something like that it doesn't take up much space.

Nice design. If I was you I would add hardware cloth to keep coons from reaching in to pull your girl's body parts off. We had a case in Tenn of 2 coons doing a tag team thing on chickens in a run about 8 ft wide. They took turns stampeding them from one side to the other. They were able to decapitate three before the owner could chase them off. This happened in daylight too.
