Welcome to BYC!! Beautiful flock! My name is Jessie, I have had chickens for 25 years now. I joined this group today to ask how to feed cream of wheat with pepper to get my chickens to lay eggs. I have 8 hens (Rhode Island Reds and Barred Plymouth Rocks) and get only 1 egg a day. The weather has been crazy cold freezing one day and 80 degrees the next. Any advise would be great. My favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens, are the quality of eggs. My Flock when the spring hits, and my Beautiful Roster.

this picture is from the summer we regularly trim his spursHello, and welcome! I've never heard of feeding them that before. The rooster's spur's look pretty long. I hope that they are not poking him in the butt if he lay's down or hurting the hen's during breeding. Good luck with your flock!
