New member & trying to decide on coops

nice to meet you! I am new to the forum also and I am now looking into putting a coop in my backyard. I am new to this and I have been looking on websites for easy instruction guides because I am not very good at carpentry. I found one on DIY.com that I hope can help me. I plan on ordering it soon.
Hi there

Hi Weimarmama! Thanks for your welcome! How is the weather over in Alabama? Do the chickens mind the heat? We got a few days of really 95 degree weather and I was shocked to see the chickens feathers all puffed up even on their heads! Like a bad hair day. But I guess they were trying to stay cool.

Welcome! They grow extremely fast, especially the ISAs we bought. I had the coop half way done when we bought our chicks, and they still nearly outgrew the brooder before I was ready for them.
Hi Egg Lover
Thanks for your welcome. I'm still working on the run, I'm embarassed to say. I might have a hard time getting the chickens used to the new digs. They are so happy in the garage and run back in when they can.

Hi Kidcody from Washington State. Thanks for your welcome post from a few weeks ago. I've been busy with figuring out these chickens! They are fun to watch. I never knew how much chickens disliked the rain. Have you found that with your chickens? At the slightest sprinkle, they hide under the bushes to avoid getting wet.

Hello and welcome to BYC!
Thanks Sumi for your welcome! You have such a lovely photo of your chick. I have yet to put some pictures of mine up. I'm not sure if they are all female. Someone on here will know.
