Someone nearby has 12 week old keets- too young to sex. I was thinking of getting a couple. What do you think?yeah you can get newly hatched chicks and raise them up in a container with a heat lamp some chick feed and water and if your in the us you can order from cackle hatchery
Thanks so much. Oh, I'm committed - I've had chickens for 40 years, but added guineas much more recently.and make sure you are ready for the commitment I'm here if you need me
You have a greater commitment to guineas! They are so noisy that we thought two was enough. I do enjoy them and am really missing Mr. Guinea. Yes, I've been reading about guinea keets and know that there is normally a high rate of loss. I have no idea what kind of mother Ms. Guinea will be, especially without her mate to guard her.we currently with our hens have 9 adults from the original flock that has been going for around 9 years and then we have the next generation wich is 12 new chicks wich i lost one named reeses pieces today wich is totally normal you will lose a few so far we have only lost 4 out of 16 wich is a good thing
