Thanks for all the replies and help from you all!
I was wanting RIR for meat and eggs. Also they are going to be free range chickens out in the pasture during the day. Im not going to return them because im already quite attached to them lol. Would production red hens be able to survive free range? Im going to provide them with food and water in their coop but they will be let out during the day to forage on their own and I just want to make sure they will do alright.

i free ranged mine. They did just fine.

Ok I feel better now. I will just do with these guys like I had planned with the RIRs. Thanks everyone for the help!
