Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site. I am getting ready to order 20 baby Buff Orpington chicks this week, we have been raising hens for 3 years now, but this is our first time with chicks. The first 15 hens and 3 roosters were already 3 months old when we got them. They are RIR and getting very few eggs now.
My question is what is the best bedding to put in the new chick house for the baby chicks, we live in Newberry, FL so it is very warm. I have to admit even though I have always had hens and roosters even through my childhood up to my adult hood now, still the age of 60, I have never had the chance to be a baby chick mama, so I am not sure what is best for the babies. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
