Hello all and greetings from Bendigo (Australia). I am 75% of the way through building a new chicken house using recycled and reused materials. The build is on hold at the moment as I have a work related injury (Registered Nurse). For various reasons I haven't had chickens for a few years so I am really excited about finishing their accommodation and getting my new flock (3).
Looking forward to sharing in the collective experience and wisdom on this forum so that I can make sure my girls will be happy and comfortable.
Regards Peter

for the snakes we buried our hardware cloth 1ft down and did a skirt 1 ft around the coop and covered the skirt with gravel we found on the property. Zero predator issues ever.
