Hey guys, I have been visiting this site and raising chickens as pets and for eggs three years plus. We are proud owners of two BO`s, Fauna snd Merryweather, three Aracaunas, Betsy, Cleo and Rosey, one RIR, Lucy, one black not quite sure what, named Ebony, one game hen, Onyx and a black potbellied pig named Petunia who is just at six months now. At first introduction the girls didn`t quite know what to make 0f this four legged snouted chicken with the naked tail but the get along very well. The girls treat the pig with mild disregard.
All my girls get an apple to share in the morning and then are hand fed grapes in the late afternoon before roosting. The pig gets only carrot treats. Ok, so I maybe sneak the pig a few oat squares now and again but shhhh, don`t tell my wife. I do love to spoil my girls but i`ve never tasted a better egg. Glad to be on board, Cheers
