I have researched and read but I still don't know so much so please be patient if I ask a lot of questions.

Waiting on my brood of 16 to arrive.
(3) What breeds do you have?
They are:
Female:

Buff Orpington
Rhode Island Red
White Wyandotte
and one Male Blue Laced Red Wyandotte
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Through all of my research and googling questions. I ;have found it to be very helpful but want to be able to go deeper and ask questions.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, cooking/baking, canning and puttin' by what I grow, decorating, antiques, family time with our children and grandchildren.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 45 years who is now a retired/disabled carpenter. I am retired with him...from nothing...so I'm actually not retired, I have worked part time over the years and attended culinary school studying pastry arts and worked in a bakery as pastry chef while in school at the age of 58. Unfortunately, I had to leave because of health problems. Our family consists of 2 married daughters, one a work at home mom, her husband a traveling surgical nurse. the other a nurse and her husband is an advertising consultant, with 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter between them. We have one son, who lives here at home and a student at NKU, and works as a therapy assistant at a local rehab center and his girlfriend who is an account and works part time also at a hospital...they are both missionaries, my son a minister and they both travel out of the country at least once a year. We have one dog now, she is a maltepoo named Bella Mae. She just turned 6 years old and is truly a joy.
My love for The Lord and serving Him is the most important thing to me and my family. They all love to come and spend time away from their busy lives out here with us on our little farm. Our extended family and friends love to visit too when they aren't working. We hope to acquire a few more animals for them to enjoy...and us to tend to in our seasoned years. I would like to get a couple of pygmy or small goats next. of course the grand kids want a pony. My husband needs a little more convincing but we are working on him. He likes tractors and gardening with me. We do everything together around here when it comes to work...we make one good person together as I have a total hip replacement and he has both shoulders replaced. We are slow but sure....I do the shoulder work, he does the leg work. He has his garage workshop and fields and I have the house, vegetable and flower gardens and soon to be "she shed" as our alone time spaces. Keeps us sane and able to have friendly 'fellowship' together.
Thank you for having me. looking forward to getting to know you all.
