Welcome. It's a good friendly forum. Yep, trade your eggs not chicks. If you swap roosters remember it is a few weeks plus (?) before it starts laying eggs fertilized by the new rooster, if you are breeding for traits. I can't say I know anything about hatching at high altitude. If you try letting one set biggest single thing I can think of is to make sure she has an open water source she can wet her feathers with. I imagine fast evaporation would have a lot to do with fails at high elevation?
