Welcome! :welcome

Chickens should be laying any day now if they are going on 5 months old, although some breeds wait a bit longer. Also, I'm not sure where you are located, but I'm assuming that you get cold weather judging by the profile picture full of Fall leaves. Young chickens will sometimes hold out until the Spring if cold weather sets in before they are ready to lay. Adding lights in their coop/run to ensure they get 14 hours of light per day may help. Artificial lighting is a debated topic in the poultry world though, so make your own choice. I can say that I do it and I'm happy (my birds seem happy too) with the results.

Thank you! I was wondering when they would start laying, I live in New York, the weather has been odd for this time of year, it's been a lot warmer than usual but it s starting to get colder. I have been looking into a light and wasn't sure if I should or not

Where in New York? You can update your profile with that information and it will then display with all your posts.
My late April hatch date pullets have been laying for about 1 to 2 weeks. Are your pullets squatting yet? Are they exploring the nest boxes?
