Hi KiKI, It may have been in the Storey's Guide to Raising ChickensWhat book, if you don't mind me asking?
Its funny that you say that because I already have changed the number of chickens I have decided to start with from 4 to 8 and I don't even have any yet. I saw a Bald Eagle yesterday eating a rabbit on my property. Made me a little nervous as they can carry off a full grown chicken. Eagles are not a common occurrence. It figuresWelcome to BYC from Macon County MissouriGlad you joined our flock.
Be aware that having joined you have been exposed to that well known chicken disease, chicken math-itis. From this time forward you will be consumed with the incurable urge to add birds to your flock. Chickens today, then more chicks, then the disease will spread and you will find yourself craving ducks and geese. From there you will want quail.
The good news is, everyone here is also infected and we will not only enable but highly support your affliction!
So sit back, relax and enjoy! You are among friends!![]()
