Hi Bonnie I am a Ohio chicken lady also. been raising chickens for four years. I absolutely love BYC great source for everything chicken. What I learned is there are several different approaches or strategies to raising chickens such as commercial, backyard, free range, confinement ect. If your happy, the chickens are happy, that is the best system for you.
