Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I've had chicken and ducks for about a year now.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 56

(3) What breeds do you have? We have pekins, silkies, rir and what we call 'odd balls' as we don't have a clue what they are, ducks - muscovies and Indian runners

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love just watching them and there different cheeky personalities

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening and reading which is now alot more better reading about chickens 😂

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a fantastic husband who started the love of chickens and ducks by randomly coming home with half a dozen chickens and ducks one day, I have 3 wonderful children who love the flock just as much as me, unfortunately we aren't lucky enough to be able to keep our flock in our garden but we rent a huge bit of land on a farm a 10 minute drive from our home.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I stumbled across BYC while doing a goggle search looking for advice I have always stayed in the background thinking it was a US site and I'm in the uk so not commenting on threads just reading and absorbing the information which has been very informative and helpful, I needed help about a week again with my nesting Muscovy throwing her eggs out her nest as they were trying to hatch so decided to take the jump and register not having time to do the new thread post until now.
Hopefully I've getting it in the right place at🙈

Welcome to BYC! That's a huge flock! Do you sell eggs or meat? Stop by the duck forum and show off your swimmers!
Thanks for joining!

Hi DiYMama
I didn't think it was a huge flock 😂😂 we are constantly adding to it too and this spring have a few nesting and have took the plunge to try incubating ourself, we don't sell any eggs or any of our flock for meat all our eggs are giving away to family or neighbours (unless like the last 2 weeks kept for incubating), I would love to join the duck forum although I love my chickens I secretly love my ducks a little more especially my muscovies.
