(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Have had chickens a little over a year
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 20
(3) What breeds do you have?
Bantams and one silkie
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Their characters, company and eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, home renovations and building things, mountain biking, skiing, sailing, walking, yoga, reading, puzzling
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Live in Alabama, buy/sell homes for a living, have 2 dogs
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? : BYC continues to come up in my searches for answers to questions about chickens. I finally joined as my latest project is renovating an old house near the river. I'm turning it into a small off-grid homestead and having a phenomenal time learning and becoming involved in the related communities.
