Cornish crosses do not live long. They are intended to be processed at 8 or 9 weeks old. They grow freakishly fast and that is why your layers are so much smaller. They grow at a normal rate.

I love how big the cornishcross got . They were definitely very friendly breed I enjoyed them while it lasted. Im hopeing the jersey giant gets just as big and is just as friendly. I also hope they live longer.
