Hello, I've used BYC as reference material for a long time but this is my first time registering and posting so please bear with me. I've always enjoyed having chickens around and especially like the looks of the various black breeds and black varieties of other breeds. I built up a flock of many black breeds and varieties. Australorps, Jersey Giants, Silkies, Sumatras, French Black Marans, Langshans, Crevecouers, Black Ameraucanas, my own line of Black Olive Eggers, LF Cochins and several others so that I could train my eye to spot the differences in the standards of the breeds. Long story short, if not already too late, lol, I'm glad to be here and hope to continue to learn from all of you fowl folk. Thanks for having me.
 
What an interesting idea -- having a mixed flock of all black birds.

I don't think I've come across that before. It sounds cool, but I would have a hard time figuring out who's who. Sometimes, I have to stare hard at my two partridge colored Cochins just to determine which is which.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join and post. Maybe you could show off a few pictures of your flock? I'd be interested in seeing them.
