I got my first ever chickens, 4 young pullets about a month ago. Red sexed linked and I am having a blast with them. They are so funny. Due to all the predators in the area they have supervisor free ranging although not to many bugs right now. I got them tame enough that they will jump on my legs if I am sitting down, looking for treats which I do usually have.
Other projects going on is trying to get rid of a bunch of different invasive species plants. Have roughly 5-6 on the property. I did not even plant any of them either.
Currently have several out door cats and will be working on introducing chicken and cats this summer. Cats are really befuddled by the chickens and the chickens are curious about the cats.
