I totally agree! It took awhile before I could actually purchase them because not many places do sell them which is funny since the kind I own is native to my land.

いらっしゃいませ! I keep Coturnix as well! Mine definitely don't like being handled, but are cute and will chirp every time I come out. I think they are neat birds.

I also took at least 4 years of 日本語, but definitely would need a lot of refreshment to bring back any semblance of proficiency. I really enjoyed it, though!
