Thank you for welcoming me to back yard chickens. This is my second year as a chicken mom. Yes that is how is see myself. This is my first year of raising Bettie's. I have 8 reds in my living room with me now. It's odd to me to enjoy my chicks so. I have been around chickens all my life with my dad and other family members raising them but this is my first herd of chickens and I am a happy chick mom. I always tell people that these are the only pets I've had that pay me. Sorry to be so long winded. Greetings from the CSRA, in SC.
