[Buck man]

Hey yall I'm a new member. I have had chickens for quite some time now but more recently I have gotten into free range chickens for my family's sake. If anyone could help me with information on free ranging meat chickens that would be great. Also there is a high demand for free range chickens in my area (Friends and family) so I'm thinking of starting a small flock of free range meat chickens 40 to 60 at a time . Thanks for your help

I don't know of anyone that free ranges meat birds. Mainly they don't move around from the feeder, and secondly they would be picked off easily by predators. Too heavy to fly and not fast or bright enough to run for cover. I am thinking of Cornish x birds, maybe the kind of meaties you will get are more athletic.
