dak begs to differ regarding the whole knowledgable thing. Trying very hard to learn though. Sold 3 lav hens today and moved a bunch of Black LF Cochins out to the coop. Plan to expand my grow out pens in the backyard tomorrow.

Blaundee, I "think" the two GLC hens are going to a pet home. They really aren't breeder quality. The Horstman pullet is decent and you might consider her. It will be a while before this years juveniles can be sorted. How are your Mottled Ams growing out? I think I have a bunch of boys.

The bantam Light Brahmas are VERY! cute. I should have two pairs of them at the swap.

Hi New Mexicans! We're in Santa Fe, looking for someone to take in a Maran who has turned out to be a rooster. We're too close to the neighbors for a rooster, even though he's very sweet. Let me know if you want to take him in, or if you know anyone who would. We'd send him with some food if someone would keep him for a pet. Thanks so much!

Hello All,
I went to the swap today. I must say I sure was expecting more ppl then the 2 that were there. However the 2 there were very nice and we did buy a baby turkey for a friend. I was kinda hoping for more participation though. May be next month. So I was wondering if any one has any baby ducks? I am thinking about getting a couple ducks but I want them fairly young as they need to be tame. Let me know.

Sorry I wasn't there, but I'm going out of town and had to tie up loose ends here. Have to make things as simple as possible for DH to take care of. Almost everything will get a chance to grow up more, except for the 8 roos that went bye-bye today. Chicken for dinner tonight.

Word of mouth doesn't seem to be resulting in very good attendance.

As for the swap... we need to get word out about it. There is very little if any advertising, so if anyone wants to make up and put out flyers, it would be great! I'm going to put a few around Cuba the next time I get over there, but I doubt many will come from this way.
