New Mexico

Oooo - I am hatching my first eggs on NYD. They are shipped. Then I need to work on scaring up some Crested Cream Legbar eggs to hatch. I hope you have a fun time with your baby chicks :)

Good luck on the hatching ! And please keep me posted on the Cream Legbars ?! I don't even have my 1st chicks but seeing this breed recently has me all giddy to add them to mine in the future.
Thanks.

Steen, would you be interested in selling any fertile hatching CCL eggs? I would really like to get some local, unshipped ones. I only have the tiny incubator (it holds 7 eggs, max)

Yeah i keep them pure. I have two pens with a pair each, cream males and two of my original hens. One cream and crested the other is close to gold and non crested but she has a nice tail earlobes and a straight cromb so shes worth breeding. My two original gold males run with the main flock so they have maid some crosses. I have two more hens ive keep from this years breeding im not sure who im putting them with but more than likely they will be with my original male with a straight comb so ill have 3 pens pure

I was just laughing about how Sam3 and I were both intent on getting some CCL's. Nothing else was meant.

I would be very interested in some hatching eggs, when the CCL hens start laying again.

I'm thinking the one pen will give me all cream. The second pen I need to test that female to my cream male and see what the ratio of golds to creams she gives me. If i put the cream hen i kept this year with my original male i should get mostly creams and some golds, but shes going to make some really nice males.
