New Mexico

well i probably know about 5% of the chicken knowledge that is out there. Im getting a good grasp on the basics. Also i know not to act like my chickens poop doesnt stink. some people out there get a false inflated sense of self worth when they think they are chicken greatness.

Nmmrc, once my wyandottes started squatting it wasn't a wk or two till they started laying, the rest of my chix are a mix bag so I wasn't really sure how long after the squatting they started, but it's definitely an indicator... They're gonna lay less in the winter tho from what I understand so that may be working against you...

On a separate note, one of my wyandottes (blue laced red) became broody about a wk ago, I have no rooster and no interest in raising chix at this time. Any ideas on how to snap her out of it? I've tried taking her out of her box once or twice a day and locking her out of the hen house for an hr or two but she still keeps going back...
Any ideas anybody?
