New Mexico

Welcome! You can easily set up your coop and run so you can be gone for a long weekend, easily. As long as everything is built super secure, multiple feeders and water stations, and an automatic coop door. You should be OK. I can be gone for a week and they'll be fine. Neighbor comes over a few times in exchange for the eggs.

That is great! I found one of the automatic doors that uses a sun sensor from this website. Planning on purchasing it soon. Thanks for the info!!

I'm here in Moriarty nm and I. Looking for fertile eggs. To start on my next run on the incubator if you have fertile eggs for hatching and live in nm near Moriarty I would like to buy some

I am in ABQ and looking for some pullets. I'd love to have some Silkie pullets/young hens, but I think that is impossible to find without getting straight run chicks.
Looking for 2-4 new pullets to add to the 4 hens I have. Open to breeds- except RIR ( I already have 2).
Willing to travel for pick up.

Millers Feed (4th street, just on the north side of the Paseo del Norte overpass) has a variety of birds in the store right now. You could go by to see or call and see what they have. They are very knowledgeable about poultry in general.

Does anyone know if Millers hosts a poultry swap out front?
