New Mexico

I can't fix my "frozen water line" until we get a real good thaw. I've got 4 inches of ice in the "crawl space" under the house.

I keep the well shut off...except when I need water...then I fill jugs from an "outdoor hydrant" (one of 3 that I connected to my well )

It's going to be a muddy mess.

The Lav girls are still laying- I though they might quit for a couple of days due to the move, but they didn't care at all. They are so cute and friendly- I sure like them

I'm trying to sell my black rooster so I will have room for your black rooster...

Sooner is better. I have a friend who want pure lav eggs so he needs to relocate. He's just too pretty for the soup pot or freezer where the rest of his "cousins" ended up. This one you know carries the lav gene. Glad the girls are still laying though those eggs may have been partially assembled so they may still quit for a bit til they're accustomed to their new digs. Did you set the eggs?

I did set the eggs, so hopefully in 3 weeks I'll have some good news to report!

Also, I sold the black rooster today, so I am going to ask my hubby if he can pick up your black rooster on Thursday- I'm not sure if he will be able to, he has to go up for work but might not be able to go out to Aztec. I will let you know either way soon (I'm going to ask him tonight when he gets home.)

I don't mind if the girls quit laying for a while, it is to be expected, I was just pleasantly surprised

The temperature reached 60 F here near Gallup yesterday. That's 80-90 degrees WARMER than our low temperatures were 10 days ago.
