I was wondering if since Summer is upon us and more of us will have a little free time, if some of the members around El Paso, Alamogordo, Ruidoso, etc. might want to get together somewhere for just coffee or a picnic to meet each other? I know Alamo, Ruidoso, Silver, all have some pretty nice parks, and since there aren't that many of us really we could always make it a restaurant or something just to sit and gab and talk birds and livestock?

That doesn't sound like a half bad idea! You know, I don't live all that far from Glencoe, about 20 mins up that dirt road to the north, off Devil's Canyon, if you have a spare moment on your vacation up here.

Oh and I have to say that the Hondo Valley is one of the nicest places around Lincoln County. It is so rich in history and so GREEN! While they have had no rain for a million days either, being that the river is there and the water table is so close to the surface, makes it an oasis.

There is a guy in Glencoe who owns J & M Quail farm. I got my start in quail from James. He really knows his birds.

Busy night. 12/14 are out. One pipped, and one internally pipped and holler'n.

I'm on the couch and will be for the day. Durn ******** horse. DH wants to take me to the hospital, but why spend the money so they can tell me I have cracked ribs, which they can't do squat about and a prescription for painkillers which will make me vomit and hurt worse.
