That bear they caught in Roswell was relocated to my territory in the Capitans!!!! Can you believe that bear walked all the way from the Capitan Mountains to Roswell?!

Lightning! Wind! Lots of Texas type humidity!!! But still NO RAIN!!! I really thought we had a chance last night. I guess some people got rain.

Would you believe we actually had......DEW this morning!! It wasn't much, but at least there is some water in the air.

We had FOG! And lots and lots of smoke. Almost 8pm, and the sky is finally showing some blue.

Last I read it had burned 6699 acres, and is spreading quickly. My nephew was at scout camp and was evacuated this evening because of the Wallow Fire. We're also less than 20 miles from the Miller fire, and we're getting a lot of smoke from it today.

I had 10 minutes of rain, scared my babies, dirt's dry. sigh.

Anybody get rain out there today? We had a tiny tiny shower move thru and of course my babies had never seen rain before. So they were all scattering and scurrying everywhich way, shaking off the spinkles, not knowing what to do! Just down right terrified of this falling wetness. So I had train them to go into the coop if they wanted out of the rain!

But alas, not enough rain to even wet the ground.

Last night however there was a clap of thunder after dark and I was sure it shook the babies right off their perch. But they stayed on and all hung in there like the troopers they are.

hahaha Yup, I'm on your side with the hospital thing... I should probably be on your hubbys side, telling you to go, but there really isn't much they will do for you and you will just come home with some nasty bug to make you sick in a week!!! LOL I'm breaking a few horses this year, and have a few green ones to ride too... sheesh. Horses... Let me ask, what were you doing when it happened?
