New Mexico

Yeah, but remember the state brought in those piranah related to fish to eat the gold fish and they multiplied like crazy and killed all the fish, not just the gold fish. So they imported another type to kill them and ended up with a real mess. My fishing club went out there to volunteer with the fish and game dept. and we looked at that mess and didn't even try, it was useless. Last I heard they were trying to get a permit to poisen the lake.

When did that happen? I left there in April 2006. The lake had been stocked with tiger muskies which are supposed to be sterile.

The Tiger Muskies weren't sterile, that is one they had problems with, I couldn't remember the name but I think that was it. It was that summer of 06 we went up there.

Since the lake is on national forest the Forest Service probably got the blame. In reality the fish belong to the state and management of the lake is a joint venture with the FS and NMDFG.

As usual they blame everyone but the ones whose bright idea it was. I'm not sure how the situation is now, but I think I'll find out, my curiosity is killing me now.
