In the Brooder
I was coming back to show ya what I have found. Those are beautiful btw. On Leggs peafowl site in explaining how the silver pied came to be, this is what they said....
The mantel or top of the shoulders appear silver as the peacocks mature. The peahens are the same pattern as the males except the color on the body are silver and white.
As of now, the color mine has is very dark, almost a charcoal on the neck and spots here or there with the exception of on the side..maybe the flight feathers (thats prolly wrong). I took a shot of the silver pied cock and hen they used as an example. In this the female doesn't have that side grey feather, hers are only white and the silver on her back is much lighter than the cock. Omgosh...ok Im not gonna get too excited. I am new after all and I could be so wrong...but the site, the history, the colors...I may have to change Apple's name.
