Your coop with the swing set sounds like an absolutely awesome idea.
I'm down in Adelaide, and it's getting a bit warmer here too. You can usually let your chickens stay outside when they're a couple of months old in cold weather. (We raised a few in winter in 2010 and they went out at that age.)
