New (OLD) Cabinet Incubator

So in picture one and two there is a hole in the cabinet that seems to have an adjustable screw inside. I think the knob was broken or removed. On the backside of this hole is the thermometer probe. In between the switches is something but I don't know what it is.

Mine has a lightbulb between the switches that shows when the heater is running. Shuts off when the thermostat trips off. Should be some sort of screw turny thing in that top hole to adjust the thermostat. I'll see if I can take some pics of mine tonight to post. Very similar.

Also, you'll want to fit dowels or something through the holes on the trays. These will keep your eggs from rolling all the way from one end to the other when you turn them.

I would love the manual for one of these. I sent you a PM Caite. I won't be turning the eggs I have now, they are goose eggs and today is the last day for turning. If I can get this thing up to temp I will finish out this geese hatch.

Just sent it. Going out to fill mine up with turkey eggs and some assorted layer eggs. And by full, I mean not even a large percentage of the 640 chicken eggs it will hold!

I figuered out the temp control ut this thing is still hard to regulate. Where can I get a good hygrometer? They sell em at wallyworld? Or maybe lowes? My goose eggs start their lockkdown itonight.

I actually found a digital hygrometer at the reptile section of Petsmart. It takes some pretty fine tuning to get them to the right temp I think, but they seem to hold nicely once they're there. I imagine the thermal mass of the eggs would help regulate it too if you were filling the incubator. Good luck!

Thanks Caite! I will check pet stores. I only have 7 goose eggs viable out of 9 so it's no where near full. Temp fluctuates from 99 to about 94 every few minutes. Vents are closed and humidity is high, though I don't know exactly how high. Lol

Here's my stat. Fenwal brand. I cleaned it off but there's not much else I can do. Gonna reinstall and see what happens.
