I have 7 x-batterys since may , i took out 42 and rehomed the others , i open their door at 7am and im sure theyv been standing there since 6am , haveing been locked in a cage for 72 weeks i can understand the rush , i still get a kick out of seeing them run and doing stuff they could never do in a cage , at first they were very aggressive and constantly pecked each other but with so much space now thats all stopped, also the eggs have realy improuved, the shells are harder and the yolk is a lovely yellow .
The funny thing is the guy i got them from restocked and my eggs are much bigger and tastier than his, altho i dont like to think about the ones that are only starting their life in the same cages as my girls were in .
