Thank you guys for such a warm welcome , I am getting a silkie and a laying hen (not sure what breed) but they are best friends and the girl I'm getting them from doesn't want them to separate. I was wondering they are just over a month old what food should I buy??

We fed our chickens chick starter until they were about two months old, you can get it from the feed store. After that changed to this "pullet mix" they sold, but not sure if that's available any place other than our local store (sure haven't seen it anywhere else ) and layer feed at four months.
