Hello, after years of talking about getting chickens we finally caved. We are now proud new parents of 6 Rhode Island Red chicks and 2 ducklings that we have no clue of their breed yet.

As new parents of the clucky kind we have brooded them together and now the ducks herd the chicks at times and the chicks follow the ducks.

We are still learning but will get the hang of it...

Heres a funny photo to share...hubby decided to try to be a chicken and see what happens....they followed.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
