They live an average lifespan of 2-3 years, but some have lived 5+ years in impeccable conditions.

I'm pretty sure Rainbow was over 3 years when he passed because he was basically an adult at the pet shop when I got him and then lived with me for about 3 years sooo....,

Usually a month if they get the fish from poor breeders. They can live to their true lifespan of 3-5 years if properly breed.

I will have to look. I had him about five years ago and had to give him away when we moved. He was orange and I loved watching him make bubble nests!
