How much do all of you feed your bettas?

I feed mine a few pellets twice a day. It's best not to feed too much at once.

I got betta from Petco once, a red halfmoon male betta. I named him Velvet, but always called him Shishy. Unfortunately, he died while I was on a vacation and someone else was taking care of him. Well actually, I had gotten 2 bettas from Petco. The other one was a beautiful combination of red, white, and blue, and he was named Fireworks. His tank had a moss ball and some colored glass pieces on the bottom. He died not very long after we got him, and I attribute his death either to either the glass not being cleaned properly, or because someone put a different water conditioner into his water one day.
Also, for some reason, the moss balls did not do well. They were removed.

I currently have another red halfmoon male betta, and his name is actually Shishy. I got him as a baby fish from the same Petco, to replace Velvet. I feel like a bad fish owner because he is in a one gallon tank a heater but no filter. I do not have a bigger tank, and if I did it would be difficult for me to manage (we got rid of our substantial aquarium tank for a reason.) Shishy is now 2 years old, approximately, and I think that I will not get another betta unless I can provide it a better living situation.

I'm sorry your other two bettas died.

How much do all of you feed your bettas?

I am currently feeding mine flakes, but I really want to switch to a pellet diet asap.
I give fine fish about 4 flakes per meal.

Hey all!! Sorry i haven't been on in a while, i have a small pet sitting business, and have been getting a lot of requests!! Also, i am leaving on a week long trip to Wyoming, so i have been planning for that too. But, anyway, congrats Clucky on getting a new fish!! Your pics are beautiful!! I might not be on a lot, but i'll check in on here whenever i can!! i have a Betta too, his name is Alex, but i usually call him "sport". Love you guys!! Got to go!!

I feed mine 3 pellets per day, maybe four pellets. Occasionally a freeze dried bloodworm. The fish pellet container has these instructions: Feed your betta as much as it can consume in several minutes. Apparently they are trying to make money, as no betta fish should eat that much at once.

[Painted Calls]

Had my eye on an orange koi half moon plakat on Aquabid. Made the mistake of looking at the Bettas in Petco. There he was in all his cloudy water, fin rot glory. I couldn't leave him. Meet Princess Gerald.

He's a super delta. He naps on his Anubias but sleeps stuck to the filter intake. He's a weirdo.
