"Really?" T'lan's eyes showed a spark of curiosity. She was a master at masking her emotions, but the the little spark got through somehow.

Lucas smiled broadly, offering his hand. "I shall show you the way." He did not say that the reason he had known about the pool in the first place was because he had been searching for a quick path to wealth. He had gathered up some of the jewel fish and sold them on the black market for a pretty bag of coins. He still gathered them to sell whenever his purse was low. For some reason he did not think she would like the idea of him raiding the pool for his own gain.

T'lan raised an eyebrow at Lucas. "One of these days your going to end up getting your hand burnt off." She said. She suddenly looked away, comparing her nature to other Jinns. Compared to others, she was too kind. Most Jinns would have gotten rid of this man the second they saw him, however, for some reason she didn't. They would have found joy in burning a village, a horse, or frying this man's hand right off. T'lan wondered why she was different. She knew there was something else about her but she couldn't place it. Maybe there were other Jinn like her... Maybe the only known Jinns were only the chaotic Jinns. She sighed, tried to reassure herself with that fact, and think about something else.

Florence took on the rear. It wasn't a far way from the path they would have been on. Sterling stopped in a clearing, he gave a loud low whistle and waited quietly. After a few seconds the sound of pounding hooves could be made out before a horse ran into the clearing slowing to a trot and stopped when it reached Sterling. He smiled rubbing the horses face affectionately. He grabbed the horses mane before pulling himself up onto the horses back. He smiled. "Im good. Ready to go, anything y'all need?" He asked.

Tollia shook her head, pointing to her pack then Gar's satchel. "We are carrying all that we own in the world." She smirkes and spoke to Gar under her breath. "Not much is it?" He smiled back and chuckled, patting her knee. "It's more than enough."

Tollia turned her attention back to Florence and Sterling. "Which way do we go?"

((Nudges Dragon man and Wildling - Elf girl))

Rose nodded firmly. "Most deffinatly" She found his surprise rather surprising herself, but was not about to let it show

Kaydat began to shrug his massive shoulders but thought better of it, not sure how the inexperienced riders would react. Ellayn would have merely shifted her weight to stay perched upon his back, but she had decades of experiance. "Your manor and clothing made me believe you were of one of the Houses. Do forgive me, La.... Rosemary. I suppose it would be considered an insult to be counted among nobility in this day and age. Tell me more of your small wooden home."

Gardinia sat up straight "A ...what? And...why ME? How long will the effects last? Is there something that can be done, to help me remember? I have to find my brother, but I don't know where to start. Can you help me?"

Kaydar shook his head, looking in front of them once more. "A D'Jinn is a creature of power and mystery. They have the ability to control either water or air. The one in particular that I knew had the ability to make people forget. I do not know for certain how long the effects last, only that they fade. Someone did this to you, Youngling, I do not know who. I don't it was the D'Jinn himself, he was a good fellow at heart. Someone used him to do this, of that I am certain. I know of only one person who can help you remember and it is the Jinn T'lan. She is the mirror image of Nal'T, his opposite. She is the reason he cannot remember and has the ability to steal others memories as well. I do not truly know how they are connected, they are called Twins but not brother and sister. I never meddled in the affairs of D'Jinn and Jinn, as a whole their race was too strange, too self serving for my tastes. My wife Ellayn knew much about them, Nal'T was her closest friend and advisor. The two had grown up together, she helped him to remember who he was. But that was long ago, I am sure that he has forgotten who he is. Yes, T'lan is your only answer, Youngling, it is her or wait for your memories to sort themselves out."

Gardenia set shaking her head "I don't understand, why would someone try to make me forget, what has happened in my life that could be that important?" She was really just speaking her thought aloud. Not really expecting an answer. "How can I find T'lan and why would she even help me?"

Kaydar snorted. "Bring her a bobble that's all she cares about. Cast iron, Topaz, I forget what else, precious stones of some sort. She sells her information, she has no alliances, least aways she didn't in my day. She is who I am seeking in Puralay. You will have your chance to speak with her when we get there, assuming she still has her den within the city."

Kaydar let the wind lift him higher into the sky, the membrane of his wings billowing. He closed his eyes, awaiting Rosemary's answer. He wished that he had more to offer Gardenia, but he was at a loss. He could only hope that the Jinn could reveal her past.

((Nudges the Pixie, Centaur, and the human woman. Kaydar wondering if he should do a barrel roll in midair, mwahah))

Lucas frowned at the look on her face. Wishing that she would allow him to place a reassuring arm around her. He still was not sure if she was threatening him every time he offered contact, or if she was warning him. He knew that she could control fire, that she seemed to be made of it. But was her flesh truly flame? "Milady... I mean T'lan, what is wrong? Did I do something to offend?"

T'lan shook her head and waved away the comment, quickly masking her emtions. "It's nothing. Shall we be on our way then? After all, you are my guide." She looked at him expectantly.

He ducked his head, the velvet cap slipping off of his greasy locks. "Of course, of course, follow me." He turned and darted between the trees, forgetting all about his hat. He raced for a moment, brought back to a time when he and his sister Rose had been close. How often they had run through the woods, playing one game or another. Things had been so carefree then, life had been only the moment. But things were different now, they had been ever since he had met that traveling merchant. He had shown a young Luke the secrets of the world, how gold could free him from anything, could grant him his every wish. Ever since that day he had been chasing gold, even his infatuation with the Jinn could not sway him completely. He bit his lip and ducked beneath a low hanging branch, his pursuit had nearly emptied the small pond of its jewels. He would have to leave them be for a time, let them replenish. He hoped that there were still enough to please T'lan. He dare not think of what she might do should they find the pond empty, not after he had risen her hopes. He swallowed, remember the few stories that he had heard of Jinn's and their unexpected and sudden wrath. He swept aside a clump of ferns as tall as he was, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw glimmering images beneath the water of the pond. He allowed himself a genuine smile, enjoying the sound of the little waterfall that trickled into the pond from Glassdon. He gestured with a flourish to the small paradise, grinning from ear to ear.
