Top is two boards for them to stand on. Boards here rest on cinder blocks.
You can see the pool is only slightly cloudy after 4 days.

I LOVE it, thank you so much for posting this! I want to make a big ramp just like that. Is there something inside the pool so they can step on it to get out?

This is a great idea and something I would love to do for our ducks in the future. Kiddie pools get too messy too quick! Little muddy beaks cloud it up instantly.

i haven’t put one in yet. But I am looking at a floating ramp in to help them get out.
I just copied your set up but please let me know how to do a floating ramp. I don't have any idea. I was thinking about putting bricks or something for them to stand on.

The pool is fiberglassed like a boat would be. My husband got good at doing that when we had a charter fishing boat. So, it's basically like an inside out boat. The drain is 2" ball valve and goes out the back of the run into our Leyland cypress trees who I'm sure will love the poo water.

I went to HD and got the concrete blocks yesterday. Boy are they heavier than I remembered! I put just a piece of the board on top of them to see if it would work and it works great. I have a longer board that I'll use on the whole front of the pool. There is enough of a lip of concrete block to support the plywood ramps which I will put shingles on.

I hoped to have it done today but we had a leak that had to be addressed. All those rocks in front will go on top of the landscape material with little river rock pebbles filling in once we get things situated.

For a floating ramp you would use a rust proof hinge on the base part of the ramp then there would be bottles adhered to the bottom of the board that will rest on the water surface. The other part would stay stable because it’s hinges to the base.

I can’t put bricks in my pool because it has a soft liner.
