Will you be selling chicks from this hatch? The d'Anvers are one of my fav. breeds. Haven't owned them before, but heard good things about them. Plus they're so darn cute!

Do you have d'Uccles too? I like them the best of all. Sad thing is that I ordered sexed Mille Fluers from MPC and one arrived DOA and the other died shortly after we got the chicks home from the post office. I had also ordered Porcelains from another hatchery 'cause MPC didn't have Porcelains, and they called months after I ordered, told me I'd have to take my chicks early and they didn't have anymore Porcelains due to hatching issues. So I never did get any d'Uccles and they were the one breed out of all that I had my heart set on.

Anyway, now I'm on a search for a couple/few pullets, but don't want to ship so I'm trying to find some within driving distance.

If you want some wonderful duccles...I strongly suggest you contact wegotchickens.she is in TN outside Knoxsville...I got my original stock from her and currently only have split hens. Love them. The danvers I should have some chicks in a few weeks and they should all be porcelain. The parent stock are from BoggyBottomBantams and I cannot rave about his stock more....and colors...oh my. Check out the danver thread in breeds.

Aww crap, and they apparently wield great "cute", "adorable", "fluffy" and "cuddly" skills, so their prey never knows until it's too late!!!!!

The Delarex is very protective of its mama...first attacking his daddy and most recently he held off a flock of youngsters (3) while his mama and the other mama had an altercation....he was making sure they did not interfere and tip the balance against his mama. Vicious cuteness and cuddly all in one fuzzy bundle.

I am still a nubie when it comes to most things "Chicken" and am wondering what "Sex-Link" refers to? I recently bought 3 Gold "Sex-Links" but don't really know what it means.

Sex link means simply that gender can be determined by a simple appearance trait. As with the barred rock and this particular barred rock cross....the white spot on the head of the black chick at hatch indicates a male...the females have a tiny or no spot.

Your gold sex links are hybrids created as heavy layers and re sex linked by chick color at hatch I believe....
