Sometimes people might not know where or how to do that or what in the world you're talking about when you say "fill out the sticky so we have more information". I would be one of 'em!

here's a short video of her. I put another silkie who is older then the one with the swelled up neck to do a comparsion. After watching her for a while, I think I may know what that problem is. I think this is the first stage of Wry Neck, I went back on my video's of another silkie I had who had Wry Neck and the similarities are quite the same. First they do this then they get to the point where they hold there heads down and do the backwards thing. I know how to treat for Wry Neck so will see if I can fix the problem. Unless someone else thinks it may be something else.. But I also remember they get worst before they get better.. So i will start treating her for Wry Neck and hope for the best..

She's still the same, hasn't gone down, and still in an S shape. She goes backwards still but not as often, Still puff's up the chest like in the video, will only eat if I soften up the food. But eats A LOT. Has some diarear but I think that is because of all the soft food, no solids.. She will only eat if I raise the food up to her chest, she won't bend down to eat. She also dribbles it on her chest so now the feathers are flat and wet you can see her skin.. She was having an issue with making bubbles, I haven't seen any bubbles in a couple of days now.. I'm pretty sure it is Wry Neck, not sure what else would cause a chicken to go backwards. She does go forward so it's not backwards all the time. I did notice when she does put her head down, She falls asleep. Everytime too..

Yes, with with full recovery...

Here's a link, this link was the first time I had every had a chicken with wry neck, it freaked me out soooo bad because I never had a chicken with it and I was totally lost on how to treat it. If you take a look at it you will see that my silkie got worst before it got better.

Now my silkie that is showing signs of wry neck today, I can already see an improvement. He ate 1/4 of a cup of soft food, he had jumped out of the broody house and was walking around in the "what I call "the Chicken Room" he is not 100% percent yet but he is feeling a whole lot better. I did the same exact treatment and that is couple of drops of Polyvisol and one full capsel of Vitamin E. The only thing I did do differently with this one is I didn't get the electrolytes and i softened up his food up, hold it to his chest for him to eat. This way he didn't have to bend down because when he bends down he starts to do the dizziness thing..

He seems to like the polyvisol but not so much on the Vitamin e.

It's not until page 4 on the link, where my first wry neck silkie starts to improve and i can still remember that day. I couldn't get the computer or website to come up fast enough, I was soooo excited.. It does take some time but yes, my silkies with it do seem to improme and recover quite well....

I have been softening up my silkies food every night and holding it up to his chest so that he will eat until he can overcome his wry neck. Tonight, I caught him laying next to the food dish eating on his own. I still feed him his soft food but the little stinking has been able to eat on his own all this time. He is looking 10 times better already, still has the S shape neck but has managed to stretch he's neck out like normal to peck at the food dish as well as the soft food I made him but just for about 5 seconds or so. I'm sure he's on the way to recovery, he never did the tucking his head between his legs and hopefully he won't. He seems more activite then the rest of the days. I felt his crop and I can actually feel soft squishy food in it, where the past three days absolutely nothing, in fact i thought all the food was going into his neck but now I can see it's not. He's doing much better and hopefully each day will see more and more progress taken place..

HAPPY DAY! Ever so glad to hear your little one is doing better!! I went through my first ever wry-neck experience this summer......Sheesh... it was a stinker of a case. My guy is Polish and was completely unable to do anything for himself for nearly a month.

Hope your fluffy-butt continues to thrive!
