New puppy gets her "Comin' to Jeezus" yesterday.

I don't have chickens YET, but Skeeter my shih tsu (spelling?) got into the Alpaca pen the other day, and Venus has NO patience with little critters who don't belong in her pasture and before it was all said and done, which was about 45 total seconds, all four girls were after him and it was like a football game . . . never saw so much passing and punting or whatever in my life and he made it to the gate and got thru before Venus and her feet got to him. . .all it takes is one chase by the girls and the little dogs are done!!! I know that puppy was scared to death, but I also know its funny to watch them get their "come-uppance"!

Is the labradoodle a puppy? If not, I'd leave well enough alone. I would NEVER trust my dog with my chickens, she goes into prey-drive mode anytime she is near them... but she was a full grown dog when we got chickens.

He's about a year old and they were still peeps. Now they are bigger and he gets in the head down, butt up in the air "I wanna play" pose through the fence. They look at him like he is smoking crack... I may try again, only because I'd like to free range them on the weekends and let them out of their fenced in area. I can't do that if the dog will attack them.
